Enough Fun for One Day

Sixteen hundred words and small change. End of chapter. That's really enough fun for me for one day. I do wish I could learn to be one of those lightning-fast writers.

Or at least a somewhat-faster writer.

Tomorrow, more writing. I hope to finish another chapter, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do it.

I'm not getting as much -- or even any -- writing done in the evenings as I want, and had hoped, to do. It's not that the dayjob is so demanding, but that there's bookkeeping and various bits of administrivia that needs done for SRM, which winds up chewing up the couple hours I have between, "Lucy, I'm home!" and "Say Goodnight, Dick." That means the weekends are pretty much devoted to writing, and the weekend, I discover, is only two days long. When did that happen?

Over the last couple days -- loot! in! the! mail! Two copies of The Tomorrow Log mass market from Amazon.com! One copy each of An Assembly Such as This, Girl Genius, Volume One, and Coyote Run's self-titled CD. I'm grateful that the loot came in two deliveries, which spared me the agony of choosing whether to start An Assembly... first, or to dive right into the adventures of Agatha Heterodyne.

It occurs to me that some people wouldn't have recognized this as a choice, much less an agonizing choice...

I'm sorry I'm not getting to LJ as much as I had been. What's going on with y'all? Gimme all the news that's fit to print!
